豊かな人生 Fulfilled Life
ニュヨークのウォールストリートの株式相場で大儲けをして億万長者になった若者が休暇を取りカリブ海にある美しい島の浜辺で散歩していました。すると貧しい姿の漁師が網を打って、漁をとっていました。それで、金持の若者は漁師に話しかけました。「漁師さん、1日漁をしてどれぐらい稼げます。」漁師：「そうですね、20ドルぐらいです。」金持：「それは大変ですね、食べるのがやっとでしょう。私のようにアメリカで成功すれば、こうして休暇を取って、美しいけしきの中、のんびり過ごせますよ。」漁師：「それは、お気の毒に、私は、休暇を取らずに、毎日、好きな魚取りをして、豊かな日々を過ごしていますよ。」
繁栄した豊かな人生を送りたいと願い、毎年、日本人全体の約8割の人々が元旦に神社仏閣に参拝します。
人々は、家内安全、無病息災、商売繁盛などの願いを込めて祈ります。
しかし、現実には豊かな人生を送っている人は少ないです。
日本では６人のうち一人が年収112万円に満たない所得の貧困家庭があります。
そのほとんどが母子家庭です。
世界の貧困率は36%です。世界中で12億以上の人々が1日わずか1ドルで生活しています。
8億5,000万人以上が日々の食べ物にも事欠く毎日を送っています。
神様の願いは全ての人が豊かな人生を歩むことです。
イエス様は「わたしが来たのは、羊に命を得させ、豊かに得させるためである。」ヨハネ10:10 と言いました。
愛する者よ。あなたが、たましいに幸いを得ているようにすべての点でも幸いを得、また健康であるように祈ります。ヨハネIII. 2節
豊かさは普通、物質的な面だけを考えますが、精神的な、霊的な面の豊かさもあります。
物質的豊かさは経済的に豊かになり、肉体が健やかであることを意味します。
霊的豊かさは、心の豊かさです。
聖書の教えでは、罪が許され、神の子とされ、いつ死んでも天国に行ける永遠の命を受け、生きている時には心の内に愛、喜び、平安、感謝の心であふれることです。
物質的な豊かさは一時的であり、周囲の状況に影響され易いです。
台風、地震、火事、戦争、などの惨事で財産を一瞬にして失うことがあります。
また倒産、盗難などで失うこともあります。
それに比べ、霊的な豊かさは永遠で無限です。
だれもが、物質的に豊かな生活ができる保証はありません。
しかし、イエス・キリストによる罪からの救い、霊の救いは、全ての人、どんな人にも信じる者に与えられます。
貧しさからの救いや、病気からの救いもありますが、100%は保証されていません。
クリスチャンに成ったら、病気にかからず、金持になるとは約束されていません。
しかし、信じる者には霊的な救いは100%保証されています。
聖書は人生の「地図」「ガイドブック」です。
聖書は3500年生き続け、世界のベストセラーで、歴史を通して世界で一番多く読まれてきた書物です。
アメリカ16代大統領リンカーンは言いました。
「聖書は、神が人間に賜ったもっとも素晴らしい賜物である。人間にとって望ましいものはすべて聖書に含まれている。」と言いました。
その聖書の言葉を愛し、それを日々口ずさむことが豊かな人生の条件です。
まことに、その人は主のおしえを喜びとし、昼も夜もそのおしえを口ずさむ。その人は、水路のそばに植わった木のようだ。時が来ると実がなり、その葉は枯れない。その人は、何をしても栄える。詩篇1:2,3
豊かな人生の条件は天地創造主なる真の神を信じて、罪を悔い改め、イエス・キリストが罪の身代わりとして、十字架にかかってくださったことを信じることです。
そして真心を尽くして神のみ教えに従うことです。
イエス様を信じ、生まれ変わり、全能の神様がともにいてくださることを思うことです。
A young man who had been successful on the Wall Street Stock Exchange and become a millionaire, took a break and went to the Caribbean. While taking a walk along the beautiful beach he spotted a poor looking fisherman tending his nets. He started talking to the fisherman, “Sir, how much do you make a day doing this job?” “Well, about $20 I guess,” was the answer. “That`s tough! I suppose you only just get enough to eat. If, like me, you were successful in America, you could take a holiday and enjoy some beautiful scenery.” The fisherman replied, “I feel sorry for you. I do what I love every day without needing to take a break and have a satisfying life.”
It is said that 80% of people in Japan go to shrines and temples at New Year to pray for a prosperous life. People pray for safety in their house, success in their business and protection from sickness and disasters. The reality is though that few people feel that they are living fulfilled lives. One out of every six people in Japan have an annual salary of less than $15,000. Many of these people are solo mothers. 36% of the world’s people are said to be living in poverty. At least 1,200,000,000 people live on $1 per day. More than 850,000,000 do not know where their next meal will come from. God`s desire is that everyone would live satisfying lives. Jesus said, “I have come that you might have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10. “I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” III John 2.
People generally think of prosperity in material terms but there is also prosperity of mind and soul. Material blessing includes finance and health. Spiritual prosperity includes abundance of the heart. According to the Bible`s definition, it includes being forgiven, being a child of God and knowing that eventually you will go to heaven. Also, while living, having love, joy, peace and thankfulness filling your heart.
Material prosperity is only temporary and is affected by our surroundings. It is possible to lose all we have in a disaster such as an earthquake, typhoon, fire or war. Bankruptcy or theft can also have the same effect. Compared with this, spiritual prosperity is unlimited and lasting. There is no guarantee that we will all have material prosperity. However, salvation of our souls and forgiveness of sin is promised to anyone who believes Jesus Christ. There is deliverance from poverty and sickness but that is not guaranteed 100% of the time. There is no promise that, if we become Christians we will never get sick and will become wealthy. Spiritual salvation is guaranteed 100% of the time for all who believe.
The Bible is our life guide book, our map. The Bible has been around for 3,500 years, remains a best seller year after year and is the most widely-read book throughout history. America`s 16th president, Lincoln said, “I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man. All the good from the Savior of the world is communicated to us through this Book.” Loving the Bible and storing up its wisdom in our minds is the condition for a blessed life.
“His delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.” Psalm 1:2, 3.
The condition for a blessed life is to believe that the Creator is the true God, feel sorry for things you have done wrong, and believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross in your place.
Then, to attempt to follow God`s teaching with all your heart. Believe Jesus, be changed and know that God Almighty is with you always.
