最後の晩餐 The Last Supper
独裁者になったローマ帝国の将軍ジュリアスシーザーは元老院で演説しに行く途中、刺客の一団に暗殺されます。（紀元前44年）
その時「ブルータスお前もか」という言葉を発し後に有名になります。
シーザーは友人、腹心であるブルータスを自分の子供のように可愛がっていました。
信頼し、愛している者に裏切られたショックは大きかったことでしょう。
まさに、飼い犬にかまれて、殺されたことになります。
Julius Caesar, the general who became the dictator of the Roman Empire was killed by a group of assassins on his way to make a speech at the Roman senate. (44 BC) His last words, “You too, Brutus” are well-known. He had loved his trusted friend, Brutus, as his own son. It must be a great shock to be betrayed by a close, trusted friend. It is like being bitten to death by the one`s own dog.
イエス様も12弟子のひとりユダに裏切られます。
敵に売り渡され、殺される前に12人の弟子とともに「最後の晩餐」をとりました。
この時に、ユダの裏切りを弟子たちみんなの前で予告しました。
「最後の晩餐」はルネサンス巨匠のレオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチが描いた巨大な壁画（4.2x9.1m）として有名です。
イエスはこの晩餐で、「まことに、あなたがたに告げます。あなたがたのうちのひとりで、わたしといっしょに食事をしている者が、わたしを裏切ります。」 とユダの裏切りを予告し､ その予告通りにユダはイエスを裏切りました。
それでは、どうしてユダはイエス様を裏切ったのでしょうか。
Jesus was betrayed by Judas, one of His 12 disciples. Before being handed over to His enemies and being killed, Jesus took part in what has become known as “the Last Supper” with his 12 disciples. At this time, He warned the disciples that He had been betrayed. Leonardo De Vinci, the master artist of the renaissance, depicted the scene in his oversize painting, “The Last Supper”. (4.2 x 9.1m) Jesus told His disciples. “I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me – one who is eating with me.” Just as Jesus predicted, Judas went ahead and betrayed Him. The question we all ask is why did Judas do this?
１．ユダはお金に興味を持っていて、弟子たちの金袋を管理していました。その時から、その金袋から盗んでいました。
こうして、ユダは銀貨30枚（今日の約百万円）の欲しさのためにイエス様を裏切りました。
聖書は金銭欲の問題を次のように述べています。
「金銭を愛することが、あらゆる悪の根だからです。ある人たちは、金を追い求めたために、信仰から迷い出て、非情な苦痛を持って自分を最通しました。」テモテI 6:10
1. Judas had a great interest in money and acted as the treasurer for the group. It is recorded that he even helped himself to money from the kitty. He betrayed Jesus for money, to the tune of 30 pieces of silver (several thousand dollars.) The Bible talks of the love of money in this way: “The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” I Timothy 6:10.
２．ユダはイエスがローマの支配からイスラエルを独立に導く救世主、革命の指導者として仰いでいました。
革命が成功すれば、経理を行っているユダは相当なお金を手にすることができると思って、打算的な目的でイエスに従ったのでしょう。
革命の後、彼は支配的立場のエリートの一員になると期待していたのでしょう。
しかし、イエス様は、ローマに反逆して革命を起こすのではなく、自分が死ぬことを明らかにしておられました。
それで、ユダはイエス様に失望しイエス様を裏切ったという事も考えられます。
2. Judas looked up to Jesus as the leader of a revolution which would free Israel from the domination of Rome. If the revolution was successful, Judas calculated that he, the accountant, would have access to large amounts of money. He also probably expected that after the revolution he would have an elite, leadership role. However, Jesus made it clear that He was not intending to oppose Rome and lead a revolution. Instead, He predicted that He would die. We can then presume that Judas was disappointed in Jesus and decided to betray Him.
３．信仰の欠如 ユダは､他の弟子たちのようにイエスを、自分の救い主、神の子として、信じてイエスに従って行きませんでした｡
イエス様に対する純粋な信仰を持っておらず、イエス様を個人的な救い主、神の子としてあがめていなかったのです。
すなわち、心から悔い改め、生まれ変わっていなかった者でした。
イエスを単に人間的な指導者として見て、神の性質を宿した神の子という認識に欠けていたのでしょう。
ですから、イエス様が、イスラエルを独立に導く政治的野心が無いことを見て、イエスをお金欲しさのために裏切ったのでしょう。
しかしこの裏切りの結果、ユダは首をつって自殺しました。
罪の支払う報酬は死であり、罪を犯したものは滅び、蒔いた種は刈り取ることになります。
3. Lack of faith. Judas did not accept Jesus as His Saviour and commit to following him as the other disciples did. He did not simply believe that Jesus was the Son of God and worship Him as such. In other words, he had not truly repented and been changed. He viewed Jesus in purely human terms as a leader and was unable to acknowledge that He was God in human form. When he realized that Jesus was not intending to lead Israel to independence from Rome, Judas decided to betray Him for the money he could receive. For him, this betrayal finally lead to him taking his own life by hanging. The wages of sin is death. We must all reap whatever we have sown.
相手を愛せば、その相手を裏切ることはできません。愛こそが健全な関係を築きます。
神を、愛し人を愛しましょう。
ユダのように裏切る者になるのではなく、信じ忠実に仕える者となりましょう。
If we truly love someone we would not betray them. Love is the basis of a healthy relationship. May we love God and others. May we all be ones who do not betray others as Judas did but people who faithfully serve others.
やがてこの地上の生涯を終えるときに「よくやった。良い忠実なしもべよ。」マタイ25:21 と神様から誉められる者になれたら幸いです。
We are greatly blessed if, at the end of our lives, God praises us saying “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21.

「最後の晩餐」11月26日礼拝メッセージより 奥平牧師
実は、イエス・キリストが生きていた時代では、テーブルに座って食事をする文化は無く、腹這いになったり横向きに寝て食べていました。
また、この過ぎ越しの食事で食卓に着いたのはイエス様と十二使徒だけでした。
さて、夕方になって、イエスは十二弟子といっしょに食卓に着かれた。— マタイ 26:20
弟子のひとりで、イエスが愛しておられた者が、イエスの右側で席に着いていた。— ヨハネ 13:23
「イエスに愛された弟子」はヨハネを意味しており、ペテロ他の使徒たちが30代前後の壮年期であったのに対し、ヨハネはまだ10代半ばか後半の少年でしたので、イエス様は慈しみを込めて、この若者に目をかけていました。
以上の理由から、ダ・ヴィンチの壁画に於いて、向かって左側に着座している弟子はマグダラのマリヤではなく、ヨハネと考える方が自然かと思われます。
