汚れ Dirt

今日、トランペットを吹いているときに、音階を出すためのピストンに油をつけてピストンがスムーズに動くようにしました。

そうしないと、急にピストンの動きが鈍くなり、曲を奏でることができなくなります。

その時に、ピストンの三つの空洞の穴の汚れがひどいのを見て、驚きました。

一ヶ月前にきれいにしたと思っていましたが、トランペットのバルブなどの部品をすべて、解体して入念に掃除しましました。

中が汚れていると、吹くとき気持ちが悪いし、汚れの多くはカビになるので健康に良くないです。

Today, while playing my trumpet, I oiled the piston in order to be able to play the scales more smoothly.

If I don`t do that, the piston will suddenly stick and it will become impossible to play a tune.

When I oiled it, I was shocked to see that the three hollows in the piston were very dirty. I thought I had cleaned it a month ago but decided to clean all the pieces.

It doesn`t feel good playing a dirty instrument and also, since a lot of the dirt is mould it is not healthy.

心の汚れも知らずのうちに溜まることがあります。

汚れた思い、すなわち、情欲、貪欲、ねたみ、憎しみなどが溜まると、精神衛生によくありません。

それらの汚れは、心を腐らせ、人を滅びに至らせる力があります。

心の中をよく吟味して、汚れを発見したら、思い切って、手遅れにならない内に掃除して、排除しましょう。

In the same way, there can be a build-up of unclean elements in our lives. It is not good for our mental health to allow bad thoughts such as lust, greed, envy and hatred to accumulate. These thoughts have the potential to spoil one`s mind and lead to a person`s downfall.

We need to know what is in our minds and if we discover bad thoughts there let`s get rid of them and replace them with good thoughts.

「内側から、すなわち、人の心から出て来るものは、悪い考え、不品行、盗み、殺人、姦淫、貪欲、よこしま、欺き、好色、ねたみ、そしり、高ぶり、愚かさであり、これらの悪はみな、内側から出て、人を汚すのです。」マルコ 7:21-23

For it is from within, out of a person's heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person. Mark 7:21-23
