信仰による前進 Walking by Faith
ある妻に悩まされている夫がいました。妻が帰宅して夫に言いました。
「良いニュースと悪いニュースがあります。」「それで、悪いニュースは。」と夫が言うと、「あなたの新車を電柱にぶつけてしまいました。」
「それで良いニュースは」「エアバッグは、見事に開いて、私は無傷でした。」
A man was having trouble with his wife. She arrived home and said to her husband, “I have some good news and some bad news. He asked, “What`s the bad news?” “I crashed your brand new car into a power pole.” “And the good news?” “The air bag worked well and I am fine!”
今年になって1月3日に北朝鮮のキムジョンウン氏は「自分の机にはアメリカに核爆弾を落とせるボタンが付いている。」と言いました。
それに対してトランプ氏は、「自分の机には、もっと強い核爆弾を落とせるボタンが付いている。」と言いました。
世界情勢、また国内情勢の現実を見つめると、困難が多く、心を躍動させるような良いニュースが少ないです。
しかし、聖書は目に見えない偉大な神様の存在、助けを信じて、困難な状況の中を前進していくべき事を教えています。
On January 3rd. North Korea`s dictator said that he has a button on his desk which would launch a missile on the U.S. In reply to this,President Trump said that he had a bigger button that would launch an even stronger missile.
When we look at both national and international news there is little that makes our hearts dance and gives us hope. The Bible encourages us to move forward believing in the Almighty, unseen God and trusting in His help even when things do not look good.
信仰とはマイナス面ではなく、プラス面を見ることです。
状況を見て、それをどのように判断するかが、重要です。
状況には普通、プラス面とマイナス面があります。
それで、どちらに思いを集中するかが大事になります。
否定的、消極的なものの見方をする人は、人生は沈み、活気がなくなり、衰えます。
それに反して、肯定的、積極的な見方をする人は、希望があるので気力がわき、人生は好転していくものです。
Faith looks on the positive side rather than the negative side. The way we interpret a situation when we look at it is important. There are both positive and negative aspects to most situations.
We can choose which side we focus on. A person who focuses on the negative, downside of situations may lose hope and go under. On the other hand, a person who looks for the positive sides of a situation will have hope, be energized and their lives will move in a positive direction.
モーセによって敵地を偵察に12人の偵察隊が遣わされました。
敵地の、プラス面はその地は乳と蜜が流れる豊かな地で、果物の大きさは普通よりも何倍も大きいものでした。
二人のものが棒で、一房のぶどうを担いだぐらいです。
マイナス面は、敵地の住民は巨人たちで、強そうで、その城壁は巨大で攻めにくいものでした。
遣わされた偵察隊の12人の内、10人は否定的な考え方をしました。
彼らは言いました。「私たちはあの民のところに攻め上れない。あの民は私たちより強いから。‥‥‥私たちがそこで見た民はみな、背の高い者たちだ。私たちには自分がいなごのように見えたし、彼らにもそう見えたことだろう。」民数記 13:31, 33
Twelve men were sent out by Moses to spy out the land they were about to enter. On the plus side, it was a land flowing with milk and honey and the fruit was many times bigger than anything they had seen before. The grapes were so big that a single bunch was carried on a pole by two men.
On the negative side, there were giants in the land and the cities were strongly fortified. Of the twelve men, ten viewed the situation negatively.
They said, “We can`t attack those people; they are stronger than we are…All the people we saw there are of great size. We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” Numbers 13:31, 33.
しかし、その中の二人のヨシュアとカレブは否定的なことに目を留めるのではなく、肥沃な乳と蜜が流れている地に目を注ぎました。
悲観論者は自分の財布に残った金額を見て、「もう半分しか残っていない。」と言いますが、積極思考者は「まだ、半分も残っている。」と考えます。
神に対する信仰を持つと、積極的な考えができます。
たとえ自分が弱い存在であっても、全能の神様がともにいてくださると思えば勇気が湧いて来ます。
聖書は、「神が私たちの味方なら、誰が私たちに敵対できるでしょうか。」と言っています。ローマ 8:31
Two men, Joshua and Caleb, did not look at the negative aspects but saw that it was a land flowing with milk and honey. A negative person looks at the money left in their wallet and says, “There`s only half left.” However, a positive person will say, “There`s still half left.”
If we have faith in God we can have a more positive attitude. Even if we are weak people, if we have faith in God courage will rise in our hearts. Romans 8:31 reminds us, “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
ヨシュアとカレブは主がともにいてくださること信じましたから、たとえ巨人がいても恐れることなく彼らに勝利することができると信じたのです。
「その地の人々を恐れてはならない。彼らは私たちのえじきとなるからだ。彼らの守りは、彼らから取り去られている。しかし主が私たちとともにおられるのだ。彼らを恐れてはならない。」民数記 14:9
Joshua and Caleb believed that God was together with them so they knew that they did not need to fear the giants and that God would give them victory. “Do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” Numbers 14:9.
少年ダビデは神様が共いてくださると信じていたので、巨人ゴリアテに向かって戦い、勝利しました。
「この戦いは主の戦いであって、主がわれわれの手におまえたちを渡されるからである。」I サムエル 17:47
Because the young man, David, believed that God was with him he was able to defeat the giant Goliath.
“The battle is the Lord`s, and He will give all of you into our hands.” I Samuel 17:47.
たとえ、否定的な状況にあっても、積極的なものの見方をして、全能なる神がともにいてくださると信じて前進しましょう。
Even if we are surrounded by a negative situation, let us look at the positive elements, believe that the Creator of all is with us and go forward.
